Greetings, fellow Heroes, Scoundrels and Villains!

As we prepare for our next expansion, Pine Box Entertainment is excited to announce that we are releasing another set of new leaders. Two years ago (and how the time flies), the selection of new leadership within Fate and Fortune was made by you, the players. We’re sticking to the same format – this game wouldn’t be what it is without your creative and devious input.

We’re presenting each faction a choice between three hopeful prospects. Players will take to our official Discord where players will vote to eliminate one of the three options. Of the remaining two options, participants at the European Championship at Patriot Games will band together by faction to select who which will take command of their faction!

W be sharing the options for each faction during the voting period. Voting will close at 12:00am EST on June 20th. Today, we’re presenting Eisen and Ussura’s options.

Eisen: our darling Deitrich duo have been deeply changed by the City. Their strong convictions have been tested, and they’ve grown more flexible and wise with time. They’ve embraced sorcery and zealotry to survive. What next tool do they need for their arsenal?

Rena Klingenhalter (Hero):

A no-nonsense hardass who’s spent years holding the Dietrich army together. Now that her two commanders are embroiled in medical, magical and marital problems… It’s time to step up again and keep the forces fed, armored, armed and disciplined. Our faithful lieutenant will place an emphasis on discipline, precision, and camaraderie.

Wilhelm Dünst (Hero):

A zealous warrior and experienced witchhunter. He didn’t expect to end up in service of a Syrnethed general and his witch-wife… but all tools can turn to Holy works in the hands of Mighty Theus. Swords, sorcery, even subterfuge. Dünst found himself entrenched in a sinful City full of nails. From personal experience, he knows that any tool is a hammer if you swing it without doubt.

Philip Hase (Villain):

A man’s duty to Theus does not stop after his death. Reconstructed and resurrected via Hexenwork, Philip Hase represents a much deeper dive into Eisen’s forbidden sorceries. His skull may be empty, and he may not have much to say… but actions speak louder than words and there’s nothing that can stop him now.

Ussura: this faction is the largest found family within our fiction. Their crew is composed of unique specialists from all over the Thean globe, each pledged to Yevgeni’s heroic ideals and magical conspiracies. But which of them is ready to step up and take the reigns?

Nazem Ibn Umur (Scoundrel):

An acrobat, thief, and daredevil. He’s long wanted to enshrine his name in legend, and what better way than re-assembling the Colossus of Five Sails? In a City full of famous hucksters and hiesters such as El Gato, Nazem knows it will take the scandals of the century to overshadow all the rest.

Mōri Daichi (Scoundrel):

A wandering ronin, now pledging his loyalty to his newfound home. He will follow Yevgeni and Ekaterina into hell, even though they promise that’s not where they’re heading. But he was chased out of Fuso by a web of betrayal and tragedy. He understands exactly where the Chaos of Five Sails is heading, and he will meet it with blade in hand this time.

Valeri Mikhailov (Villain):

An ally of circumstance. His ego is only matched by his skill, and he’s come to Five Sails to prove his worth. Envy and jealousy have filled his heart – everyone in this stupid City worships the ground that Yevgeni treads on! And worse? The man is near invincible. Valeri is not one to quit, however. Even if he can’t see the future or talk to ravens, he will not be undone. He’ll be more heroic! He’ll be more violent! He’ll be more untouchable! Just. You. Watch.

Stay tuned for Montaigne, Castille, and Vodacce options coming later this week!
