Howdy pardners! It’s been 30 years since Deadlands debuted at Gen Con. Our friends at Pinnacle Entertainment Group are celebrating on February 3rd with some great new products to bring in the next era of the Weird West. Likewise, we’re joining this momentous occasion in sharing our own plans for Doomtown and our next related project.
1) Doomtown: Weird West Edition Second Printing
The 2026 annual release for Doomtown will be a rechambered version of the Weird West Edition Base Set. Available for pre-order now at the original Kickstarter price for a limited time, this new printing makes several updates:
Player Count 1-6
- We’re including the updated deck lists and maximizing the joker count (12) so that all 6 factions can be built out of the base box.
- With the 7 existing Pine Box era expansions (Tombstone Trilogy, Deadwood Trilogy, There Comes A Reckoning) we recommend only needing 1 Base Set due to the card pool options and available promotional cards on DriveThru.
Multiplayer & Rules
- The updated, victory point based official multiplayer rules that were omitted from the original release are now included in a rulebook. The fiction pieces (available online at the Gomorra Dispatch) are removed to make room for additional text.
- Solo Play, now available for testing on the Doomtown Online platform, Legend & Totem use, and other rules are updated for clarity based on community feedback.
Cards
- The card size that was slightly off from other releases are now adjusted for consistency with the new stock as featured in the Debt of Blood and Whispers of War expansions.
- The Ursula full bleed is fixed, several cards updated for rewording, and errata like Hiding in Shadows (protects attachments) and Zachary Deloria (bullet cap to prevent the infinite bullet bonus combo with Petunia Mallard)
New Doomtown Instructional Playmat
- A brand new playmat featuring the Whisper of War cover art and premium stitching is now available for preorder. This mat replaces the previous Weird West map playmat now out of print.
2) Doomtown Marshal Destination Event: Arizona Territory
In 2019, we held the Doomtown World Championship in Tombstone itself. In 2021, we joined PEG for Destination Deadwood. In October 2026, we unite again to Celebrate Three Decades of Deadlands. Save the date and saddle up for the next Doomtown Destination Event as this year’s Marshal round-up takes place in Chandler, Arizona, at the Rawhide Event Center. A short hop from Phoenix airport, stay tuned for more details on this amazing community gathering.
3) Reckoning Redux and Get into Dodge: 2027 Releases
Following the Weird West reprint, we’ll get into two additional products in development. First is ‘Reckoning Redux,’ a reproduction of There Comes a Reckoning, placed in a smaller box to match the dressing of recent expansion at that lower cost point
Servitors Revisited
- The initial design for TCaR was based on continuing the Reloaded line. With design updates in Weird West, we’re reducing Stone and Raven to a 1 cost each penalty and updating the wording on Grimme to note whose spells are effected.
Updated Cards
- The 45-card initial set is being reviewed for cost updates (ie, some Dudes will have 1 ghost rock cost less) and the stock itself will change to be in line with the latest expansion printings. To fill out to the usual 56-60 card expansion releases, the remaining card slots will include Weird West era errata cards, some of which only previously released as promo cards, and noted in the current floor rules.
Queen of the Cowtowns
Get into Dodge (working title) will bring the Doomtown story into Dodge City. Having moved from Gomorra to Tombstone and Deadwood, the development team plans on continuing to major cities featured in the Weird West.
- Deluxe Expansion: Dodge is currently set to feature more cards than previous releases, moving away from the Trilogy model and provide more offerings, including a brand new Outfit card for each expansion.
- Inexperienced Dudes: A new card type allows us to explore early Dude versions of iconic characters such as Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday, featuring a variety of timelines and opening the ability for the story team to write flashback pieces told through new stories and flavor text, continued to be influenced by your organized play decisions and convention round-ups.
4) Deadlands: Legends of the Weird West

Legendary Heroes, Legendary Stories
Our latest news is this year’s crowdfunding project. Deadlands: Legends of the Weird West is a fully co-operative, expandable card game. The base set allows you to play iconic Deadlands characters such as Ronan Lynch, “Velvet” Van Helter, “Bad Luck” Betty McGrew, and introducing Stacy O’Malley, sister to the Epitaph’s Lacy O’Malley. Releasing simultaneous is the first expansion, which will bring in four familiar Doomtown characters. Players will construct their own deck or use provided lists to solve mysteries, fight the minions of the Reckoners, and go through adventures in a brand-new card game familiar to players who are fans of games like the Arkham Horror LCG. Bid chips for actions, pull from a poker deck to resolve tasks, and work your way through locations in the Weird West. Public demos will begin this year at Gen Con.
5) 10 Years of Pine Box Entertainment
In 2016, Pine Box Entertainment was formed for the purpose of continuing Doomtown. Since then, we’ve exceeded the publication length of the previous collectible card game and Reloaded versions combined. Thank you all for riding this journey with us and in years to come.
